The Social Concerns ministry focuses its attention into three specific areas: Peace, Social Issues, and Community Service.

Peace and Justice
Addressing peace, justice, conflict resolution, and other issues in society that affect us as individuals as well as a congregation are all part of this group's role. Through letter writing, contacting elected officials, and by working closely with Northwest Yearly Meeting, this group helps keep us informed regarding the changes in our society and what we can do to help shape those changes, not just respond to them.
Social Issues
This group evaluates a wide variety of social issues such as prison outreach ministry, legislative issues, and pro-life causes and then promotes ways we as a congregation and as individuals can respond. If you are concerned about a social issue, bring it to the attention of this group.
Habitat for Humanity
As a Covenant church NFC supports this interdenominational coalition of volunteers who help to construct low cost housing in our community. Volunteers are needed. Individuals who can "just help," those with various construction skills, and people with office capabilities are encouraged to participate.
