The Social Concerns ministry focuses its attention into three specific areas: Peace, Social Issues, and Community Service.

Door to Grace
Door to Grace is a non-profit in the Portland, OR area that seeks to restore life to rescued children. We work to provide healing aftercare to minors who have survived commercial sexual exploitation through safe housing and wrap-around interventions, meeting the needs of the whole individual.
Peace and Justice
Addressing peace, justice, conflict resolution, and other issues in society that affect us as individuals as well as a congregation are all part of this group's role. Through letter writing, contacting elected officials, and by working closely with Northwest Yearly Meeting, this group helps keep us informed regarding the changes in our society and what we can do to help shape those changes, not just respond to them.
International Justic Mission
International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM seeks to make public justice systems work for victims of abuse and oppression who urgently need the protection of the law. IJM investigators, lawyers and social workers intervene in individual cases of abuse in partnership with state and local authorities. Go to IJM's website to see how you can join this important work both locally and globally. www.ijm.org
Habitat for Humanity
This interdenominational coalition of volunteers help to construct low cost housing in our community. Volunteers are needed who can work on the construction site.

Habitat's Resale store accepts donations and is open to the public twice a week:
